Copenhagen Jazz Festival 

First year exam project
Copenhagen Jazz Festival is an annual music festival with around 250.000 guests. My communication goal was to set the jazz festival apart from other music events and highlight the unique rhythmic experience of Jazz music. My target audience is jazz lovers and the younger urban segment of jazz enthusiasts.

I sought to capture jazz’s experimental spirit and creativity through a design that plays with the illusion of movement, using a ‘Moiré pattern’. The graphic element comes alive when viewers interact with it by moving a corresponding stripe pattern across. The circles represent the smoothness of jazz and the empty spaces represent the pauses between the notes that define the rhythm.
